I am looking for a dynamic book cover. I don't want the typical, boring covers on many of the other "how to" style books I see. The target audience is college-aged students at top 50 universities (Harvard, Yale, Michigan, etc.) in the United States. This book will be released in both ebook and physical form.
I am pretty open to creative designs, as long as they stay relatively simple. I want the cover to describe the book in once quick glance, grab the viewer's attention, and make him or her flip it over to read the back copy.
Here are a few things to think about when designing:
1. I'm nearly certain that I want to have the cover either incorporate or entirely be a photograph of some kind. It should be dynamic, and speak to the message of both developing "leadership" and being a teacher. It is more important for the cover to represent leadership/teaching than applying/interviewing.
2. Because Teach For America is a program that recruits young teachers to teach in underserved schools in the U.S., the overall theme of the cover should relate to education and/or actually teaching.
3. I am trying to align the book in buyers' minds with the organization itself. Teach For America uses red, white, and blue in their logo and most of their resources. They have also created their own font (sans serif), and I would like to have a font on the book that resembles theirs. To see their website and font, visit http://www.teachforamerica.org
As I am asking for photographs, please feel free to use stock images if need be, as long as I am able to use the images in a variety of forms.
