Looking for cover art on Part I of a three part fictional series.
All three parts (books) are very much in the survival genre with the first part having a political and self sufficiency theme. Key scenes within the novel take place on a farm where a plane is shot down overhead, numerous characters testify before a Congressional body in the US Capital Building, and finally a forestry scene where the antagonist is hung in a tree.
Author suggested ideas for cover art include (see attachments):
a.) the shadow of a man walking through a field of grain heading toward a hazy US Capital building off in the distance with a smoking plane gracing the skyline.
b.) Image of the National Mall being divided and used as individual garden plots.
c.) a small cabin tucked into a clearing with a full moon and a plane smoking in the distance.
d.) artist interpretation
Front Cover and Spine Text (title and author):
Foreign & Domestic, Part I: When Rome Stumbles
David J. Kershner
Back Cover text:
Josh Simmons sat on the front porch of his cabin taking stock of his life. In the last two weeks, he had buried his ex-wife, received a letter from the grave, and gone looking for the bottom of the bottle. Odd visions full of names, places, and designs compound the torment of the barbarism he experienced as a POW. Little did he know that his eccentricities, and panache for self sufficiency, were about to be thrust center stage in the halls of Congress where greed, collusion, and corruption are on full display.
