What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are a training and consulting company for the electronics industry. Basically we provide solder training and IPC (our licensing body) certification to folks that assembly electronic components on to printed circuit boards. Our web site is http://www.eptac.com. We training predominately through the United States and Canada.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
Each year we run banner ads in various trade emailed newsletters and on web sites that are specific to the electronics industry, announcing the availability of our new yearly schedule, in this case 2017. They are in a nutshell, getting boring. There are six (6) sizes listed below. Basically we want to get them to click to download the lasted schedule of classes and offerings at EPTAC.
We are looking for something cool, that gives us a professional image and at the same time is different enough to makes us look like something you want to learn more about. I like simple designs with white space, that is not heavy with graphics. Because of the different sizes, you need to watch what is designed so that it can be shaped to fit. We have gone to simpler designs for the smaller ads, i.e. different from the larger ones, just so that we could create something cool in the larger ones. The trick is to create something interesting for what can be a boring industry at times.
